Hello, friends! Please join us for music, food, and friends this
Sunday at our first bluegrass/roots jam in New Rochelle. The
musical energy's rising - Sara and I wanna see and play with you,
so please come out from behind the woodshed!!
Our address is:
255 Huguenot Street, New Rochelle, NY 10801 (gmaps)
Apt. 2106
phones 917.501.2761 and 845.598.2225
From 3:30-4:30 or so we'll tune up, warm up, and play a few tunes upstairs in the apartment. Then from 4:30 onward we'll jam, hopefully downstairs in the garden/courtyard if the weather's nice - I've scoped out a spot for us where we can simultaneously play, barbecue (there are gas grills), eat, and drink. We also reserved the building's conference room for our cases and other crapola if we need it.
Please feel free to bring friends and loved ones whether or not they play an instrument as long as they're tolerant of the bluegrass madness. By all means, feel free to bring drinks (anything goes, including micheladas!) and/or food to grill (we'll do our best to have some tasty octopus), but most importantly, bring your instrument and COME!!
I'm never frowning
or down in the mouth,
Trevor
P.S.: Rumor has it that on this musical maiden voyage of our New Rochelle venue, gypsy funk impresario Kani Bosoorah will play lap steel guitar, Sara "S.B." Gilbert will debut several ukelele songs, Doc G (yeah I just made that up) will retune his banjo mid-song, we will do at least one rousing a cappella spiritual number, and numerous surprise special guests might arrive... don't miss!!
P.P.S.: Our home is sixteen steps from the New Rochelle Metro North Station and thus sixteen steps plus a half hour from Grand Central Station. Trains come and go every 30 minutes. Kidnap some musical people in NYC and bring them along to play.
